Welcome to HeavenSpa Magazine, a celebration of the spa lifestyle. Our goal is to entertain and enlighten our readers about the many facets of wellness--a prism of health, beauty, fitness, nutrition, and relaxation.

You will find feature articles about spas, spa owners, and the people who make spas part of their lives. We will bring you a wide range of views about the spa experience--as varied as the thousands of spas and the growing number of devotees. The spa industry is full of colorful, successful and often outspoken personalities. We present them to you in a series of in-depth feature articles called "Spa Stars."

We also have a feature series called "Celebrity Spa Visits." We interview busy professionals, who are regular spa-goers, to discover why the spa has become an important part of their health, beauty and fitness regime, and to glean their personal wellness tips. We've also invite people who have never been to a spa to be our guest for a day. We're sure you will resolve to take more time for yourself at a spa when you've read what they have to say. We report on what's new in beauty and relaxation.

Our departments include pursuits such as yoga, meditation, nutrition and travel, all of which promote energy, health, and general well-being. You can check out your horoscope by our own HeavenSpa Magazine astrologer, Elizabeth Knowles; try a new yoga pose; and figure out what to do about dry skin in winter, all in the same issue! HeavenSpa Magazine is a work in progress.

In the coming months, look for our new feature, "Dr. Spa," an on line forum to address your questions about beauty and health. We welcome your input--"rants and raves"--and any recommendations for topics you would like us to cover.

The immediacy of the web makes for an exciting publishing venue. As soon as my designer, Ewa Nogiec, and I finish a piece on her computer, it is up on the site for you with no printing or mailing delays! I am delighted to be taking the place of our founding Editor-in-Chief, Malachy Duffy. His vision launched HeavenSpa Magazine in January 2000 and we expect to continue to build it as the premier forum for the spa lifestyle. I especially look forward to hearing from you, our readers, in the coming year.
